The Insider Project
Architecture portfolio
The Insider Project is an architect's  portfolio. This is essentially a tool used to present and demonstrate the skills and services used on modern Kenyan skyscrapers so that we can use the underlying architecture to build better stone age material. An architect from Bogotá, Colombia, Angélica María Ruiz Forero gave me a clue on use of illustration to create immersive, beautifully presented visuals on this project. Allowing detailed plans to fill whole spreads, and with a quirky embossed cover, this portfolio design balances architectural imagery with an illustrative approach.

Client

Budapest-based illustrator Mahmet C. lend me his colorful and atmospheric idea to this portfolio magazine for a Sky Center Design in Nairobi. Most architecture portfolios are often lacking in color, with minimal neutral tones favoured instead. This 86-Page portfolio design showed how sky colour can give life to illustrated visuals.
Cover Design

Design wise. Cover color is hard to master and one could argue that parametric design is too, the blend between the two makes them great justice in an ironically playful expression. The entire portfolio presents a case that materializes as we progress, playful deeply conceptual pieces become “small” grasshopper installation experiments only to later end with the markets’ demand, real estate. I had to make a playful ironic game of imagination and reality, a great display of the digital soak.

 Design Theme: Modern

Sublime balance between color and line in a rather rich-detailed modern expression of Nairobi was all. Sculptural organic 3DS Max designs set the tone yet white space maintains its strategic place, detailed sections and exploded axonometric designs immerse the viewer into a future world.
